First of all, I have never written a critique before but I decided to give it a shot because this picture really grabbed my attention so I asked myself why. The thing I really like about this picture is not only the focus but the emotion of it. The puffin itself looks as if it is trying to appear more innocent than it is which goes really well with the way the image is focused. The way the puffin is posing, I think, really makes the picture special because it could be thinking anything and I'm questioning what it could be thinking. I also appreciate the contrast of the orange in the beak with the background and the white on its chest, face and in the top left corner create a nice balance and draw your eye to it.
