This is nice. I'm amazed you still got 1/100 at F11 though!
Great choice of depth of field and nice colours too

Really? It's not a creature that's photographed a lot like cats or dogs, and it's really cool looking! And then it's got the cute eerie effect going on, of course it'd do good :XD:.

I think they're quite happy. They have a nice big pond to swim around in and lots of places outside of the pond. What more could they want? :)

Thanks!

The babies do live under water, the adults only go in water for the breeding season.
Long story short, our pond snails had eaten to death some plants in the pond, so I moved the plants out into a separate tank to grow back. But the newts must have laid an egg on the plant, which hatched in this separate tank. So I was able to get some shots of him in there :)

Thanks Katy! :D

Thanks Victoria, I don't think it's that good though, the water was murky which made the quality a little funny:(

Basically the snails had eaten to death some plants in the pond, so I moved them out into a separate tank to grow back. But the newts must have laid an egg on the plant, which hatched in this separate tank. So I was able to get some shots of him in there :)
