I have no clue where your ideas about not improving are coming from, because this really is a great shot.
Composition wise, I quite like it, though I might have liked to see the entirety of the rear of the cub in the frame. Ah usual it's pin-sharp, with great focus on the eyes and face. I also love the way you kept the paws in focus as well, slowly drawing your eyes into the eyes of the animal. These are also amazingly captured with great colours and details, and perfectly shows the rings around their pupils.
Critique wise, it might have been nice to blow out the background a bit more, though due to the nature of your lens that wouldn't have been possible (so you weren't marked down <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/let…" width="15" height="15" alt=":P" title=":P (Lick)"/>)

Overall I think this is a really great shot, made all the more impressive by the fact that cubs are some of the hardest animals to photograph. Once again, great work! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/a…" width="15" height="15" alt=":aww:" title="Aww"/>
