Oh yes. You're not escaping from these that easily..
Ok. firstly (as you're no doubt aware by now) I really, really love this piece compositionally. I can't find any problem with the composition or layout of this. It almost looks studio staged. It's the same with the lighting. The light on the face and hands is really nice, highlighting the appropriate bits without creating harsh shadows. The way you caught the eyes is also really nice. They're bright, shiny and full of life, which really adds character to the photo. Nice focus too.
I quite like the choice of depth of field in this one too. It keeps the head, ears and hands in focus whilst smoothly taking attention away from the less important areas.
Bits to improve on though, it still has noise (which you can really expect at ISO 2000), and the area on top of the head appears slightly under-saturated, and doesn't really define the top of the head as clearly as I would like it to. Other than that though it's really nice, and looks really professional ^^
I really love this photo of Jas, she looks so cute! Although I'm wondering where her tail went, lol! Her bright button eyes are so cute and clear here, and those little paws, so adorable!
lol, I didn't even notice her tail wasn't in it, I've no idea where it's gone
I really enjoyed the shoot that day, it was so fun getting all your other animals involved too, we so have to do it again, and get some props of some kind (like the link I just posed on your page lol)
Yus, props would be cool. Maybe we could do it again sometime in the new year, I'm sure my parents would love to get away for a few days. I went to Hobbycraft the other day, they have a really great selection of fake flowers & scrapbook paper, which I've always thought would make good backgrounds, something with a bit of a design and colour, it's worth a try. I think colour would go well with my new hammy, she's soft grey's and whites so should look good with colour background. Just got to get her tame enough to handle first, she bites at the moment.
Sure, it's worth a try! The only problem I have with using coloured background in the tent is that they never come out the right colour in the photos, I'm still not sure why.. I used a really nice dark green and it came out like dark grey.. Not sure if it's because the light isn't on it enough, but I would have thought it would be, so confusing! But we can definitely play with it, maybe lighter colours might work better!
