Well we thought so, she was looking incredibly big and was digging under our shed. However we didn't see her last Wednesday, then Thursday she appeared and looks much smaller. She doesn't look pregnant at all now. So possibly she's had the cubs elsewhere, but it's a little bit early for that, also if she has had them, she shouldn't leave them at all for the first weeks as they need her warmth. But we've seen her come in the garden. We gave her some food which she ate incredible quickly before running off.
The only explanations I can think of is that she's had them, and the dad isn't around for some reason (the dad would bring her food the first weeks while she's with the cubs). So she's having to quickly venture out to get food. OR, she's had a miscarriage which is just making her act weird... Who knows.. A fox life is never simple!

I think you have well thought out what is going on. You might drop her some "new mom" type food and see how that goes. She might need some help

We are giving her some food when we see her encase that is the case, unfortunately shes not under our shed though, which makes things a little harder! Otherwise I could just place food at the entrance like the male would do.
Her sister is still around too though, so I'm hoping that she will play a part in helping her. They often do help raise the cubs, but not sure if they'd also help by giving mum food.
