Amazing how detail you caught in this one! The eye is stunning o.O;. In a creepy way lol.

Maybe it was because I was in a really dark room in the middle of the night. That alone makes everything creepier :XD:.

Yay. These must be really hard to spot - even with a teleconverter!
Nice composition for such a small subject :)

Yep very hard to spot! No teleconverter on this one, the lack of focus annoys me too much.

Thanks

Not really, most shots i take with it look sharp but when getting back aren't.. just makes things feel like a waste

Yeah... the quality does drop with them :/
Which one were you using on it?

I tried it on the sigma 150mm and it was okay, but tried it with the canon 100-400 and wasn't keen on quality out.

Was that the Sigma TC? They often mess with quality, especially on an F5.6 lens.. it's already F8 with a 1.4, F10 with a 1.7 and F11 with a 2x... never going to do much :P
Which one did you try? The 2x ones have reputations for being horribly soft one pretty much all brands..

Peckers come in green? I still have a hard time thinking them being anything except the Calif types I'm used to.

Yep, in the UK with have three times I think, the lesser, the greater and the green. The green ones mainly eat ants so spend most their time in the grass, hence the green colour :)

But woodpeckers should look like, well woodpeckers! The whole universe will be thrown into disarray if they don't look like the ones I grew up with :)
