I think the brightening helped the little guy pop out a little more than before. You can see more of the expression (if I'm remembering correctly ;)).

Like you said, the brighening indeed did wonders! Fixed the colors as well as made him pop more.

lol, I know how that goes :XD:. Same thing happens to me all the time (when I actually get a chance to play in PS :ohnoes:).
